I strongly believe that a person’s actions, even those that are problematic, are a learned way of getting needs met. I am not one of those therapist who sees my client as a compilation of symptoms, but as a person, using their conditioning/wiring to make it through the trials and tribulations of simply being human. Why is this my belief?? Because I too am a human being, navigating the ups and downs of life. As your therapist, it will be my privilege to help you find your way through the various paths of life.

Welcome to Letts Therapy

If you are on my Web site, I imagine in this moment you may be feeling emotions such as overwhelm, fear, sadness, anger, frustration, or hopelessness, to name a few.  I am the type of therapist that believes the relationship I foster with each client is of upmost importance to your healing journey.  I know that no two people are alike and therefore the manner in which I practice and engage with my clients is dependent on your individual needs and what you bring to session each and every time we meet.  I am also aware that even if you walk out of my office feeling GREAT, which sadly, is not always the case…. How you feel throughout the week and until we meet again changes from moment to moment.  Day to day life is challenging for every person, regardless of past, current and future hurdles, accomplishments, endeavors, or narratives.  Many therapists focus on helping their clients develop coping skills to manage the various curveballs that life throws you.  I know first hand that living coping skill to coping skill is exhausting.  Yes, coping skills are necessary as you develop self-awareness and understanding of the “why” to many of your reactions, behaviors, or patterns that can be problematic at times.  My main goal is to assist you in creating/living a meaningful life.  I want you to thrive and not just survive.

“We are always in a perpetual state of being created and creating ourselves.”
